Denise Coffin teaches Kindergarten and is a coordinator of the Center for Ethical Leadership (CEL) at Sidwell Friends School, an independent religious school in Washington, DC. She has been using Thinking Routines and other Project Zero ideas in her classroom (since 2009) as she builds a culture of thinking. She is an organizer at the annual Looking at Student/Teacher Thinking exhibition for DC-Project Zero. Denise has led teacher workshops on articulation, documentation, and reflection at the PZ Perspectives conference in Memphis, TN, in San Francisco, CA, and in Washington, DC. A member of the DCPZ group since its inception in 2012, she has been a Study Group Leader at the Project Zero Classroom summer institute for the past several years and she has been a Learning Group Leader at WISSIT since its beginning in 2014. This year, she will be co-leading a learning group and an interactive course.
